TAKEDOWN REQUESTS

Takedown

VERIQIA assesses properly supported requests concerning copyright or other intellectual property, privacy, alleged unlawful content, court or competent-authority orders, and material safety concerns. Submission does not guarantee removal.

Requests we assess

A request may concern copyright or intellectual-property rights, publication of personal or private information, content alleged to be unlawful, a binding legal order, or a specific and material safety risk.

Required identification

Identify the exact VERIQIA URL and content, the nature and basis of the request, your contact information, the action requested, and supporting evidence. Rights holders or representatives should identify the protected work or right and their authority to act.

Legal orders and urgent safety

Provide a complete, legible order or notice, the issuing court or competent authority, relevant case or reference information, territorial scope and any stated deadline. For urgent safety concerns, describe the concrete risk and why prompt action is necessary.

How to submit

Email the dedicated VERIQIA legal address and clearly label the communication “VERIQIA takedown request”. Do not send passwords, access tokens or unrelated sensitive data.

Assessment and outcome

VERIQIA may verify identity or authority, seek clarification, review the Story File and its evidence, preserve relevant records, restrict access where lawfully necessary, correct or update content, or decline an unsupported request. The response depends on the facts and applicable law.

History and proportionality

Where legally appropriate, VERIQIA prefers proportionate measures and preserves editorial accountability. A correction or update may be more appropriate than removal. Public version history will not expose private audit notes, and preservation obligations may continue if public access changes.
